Minny Star Jefferson Will Miss Mavs Visit

Having just watched the Mavs lose a game at San Antonio in which the Spurs were missing top players, we are hesitant to draw conclusions or make predictions regarding the news out of Minnesota that the Timberwolves’ best player, center Al Jefferson will miss Friday’s visit from the Mavs.

Jefferson, who is averaging 15.1 points and 6.1 rebounds this season while making a comeback from knee surgery, will be away from the team this weekend to be with an ill family member in Florida. Jefferson will therefore miss the Dallas game and a Saturday trip to Memphis.

Even with Jefferson, the T-Wolves have struggled, having lost eight straight games since a season-opening win over New Jersey.
